Hello, my lovelies! It has come to my attention that a lot of you think that The Vigil Idiot has been dead for a while. This is simply not true! The comic has been more active than ever these past few months! Just, not on this site… I figured that it shouldn’t really matter where the comics are posted, right?

Before we begin, a big thanks to all you beautiful people for continuing to read & comment on The Vigil Idiot, even though, at this point, every single comic here uses pretty much the same gags that the first comic did. But here we are, exactly 3 years later, still doing our thing and making this the most worldfamous webcomic in all of India (Not corroborated. Totally made that shit up)! So big ups to you all! Speaking of using the same gags, another weekend, another Southie movie remade into Hindi. Let’s just dig in, shall we?

There was another movie that released this past weekend other than this Parineeta Chopra & Arjun Kapoor starrer; the fangasmically named ‘Dangerous Ishhq 3D’ (A movie I hope to review soonly). Among other things, it’s about past lives and rebirth and whatnot. The reason I mention it is that despite all that, Dangerous Ishhq 3D was still only the second most regressive movie of the week.

This movie stars Zayed Khan & Sameera Reddy in prominent roles. It is a loose remake of ‘Speed’ (Tezz, geddit?), only it’s on a train instead of a bus. And it’s directed by Priyadarshan. To be perfectly honest, I had a page set up for this comic even before I’d booked tickets for the film.

After a briefish hiatus, we’re back up and running, boys & girls! And what a movie we’re back with too! Action, Romance, Drama… All of which sucked donkey balls in Saif Ali Khan’s ‘Agent Vinod’! To summarise briefly, I’d rather have watched Sunny Deol in ‘The Hero – Love Story of a Spy’, because at least you get watch Sunny Deol dry heave to bad music in ‘The Hero – Love Story of a Spy’. Man alive, that was a kickassingly named film!

Iss movie ko logically analyze karna mushkil hi nahi, naamumkin hai… Like seriously! I could have actually spent the whole of last month trying to list out all the flaws in this film, and still be going right now. But done my best, I have! So read on, fellow earthlings and share away!

OK, major props to Ranbir Kapoor also. I think we can all agree that for someone in a truly shit movie, he did pretty not bad. Having said that, good acting does not a Rockstar make! Now, heartbreak (but not *really*) and a little paparazzi rage, however… apparently… yea! Director Imtiaz Ali would have you believe you’re good to go.

Take it from me. You aren’t.

To be honest, Shahid Kapoor in that moustache is more spoofworthy than anything else in this movie. But then again, the ‘anything else’ part is pretty fuckin’ awful too!
